• Employment term: Permanent Job (With Holiday pay, Pension, Van & Fuel)
• Based: Wickford, Essex – with travel to sites all over the South East.
• Pay: £15.00 – £17.50 per hour Standard rate (Higher rates for weekends) + Travel time

Our client is a very successful family run construction company in the Essex region, with sites all over the South East.

We are seeking skilled and qualified Carpenters to be employed directly by the company on a permanent basis, working on a variety of Interior Refurbishment, Fit Out & Maintenance projects all over the south of the UK.

The Role:

Reporting to the Site Foreman or Contracts Managers you will be responsible for working on site as an experienced Carpenter. This is a hands-on role carrying out general carpentry work associated with interior refurbishment, fit out and maintenance jobs in commercial buildings. You will be site based, using a fully expensed company van to travel to different sites on a daily basis running small to medium size jobs

Candidate:

You will be a competent, qualified Carpenter with previous experience in general building or site work including roofing, flooring, joinery, interiors etc

You will have a valid CSCS card and a UK driving licence.

Ideally you will have Fire Awareness, Asbestos Awareness & First Aid certificates. However, these can be gained during employment.

Package:

Salary approx £17.50 per hour standard hourly rate, with higher rates on Saturdays and Sundays. You also get paid travel time as there is plenty of driving involved.

This means the package is approx. £36,000 standard, + shift premiums + overtime when available. Once you take into account travel time and higher weekend rates you will earn £40,000 – £45,000 in addition to all the benefits of being employed, such as Holiday Pay, Travel Allowance, Pension Scheme, Tools and Uniform. You will also get a fully expensed company van with private mileage allowance.
