Trade Counter Sales Assistant who has excellent customer facing and upselling experience is required for a well-established and successful company based in Chessington, Kingston upon Thames, Greater London.

ALL LEVELS OF SALES EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED – FULL PRODUCT TRAINING PROVIDED

The company will consider all levels of sales experience, as they will provide additional product training and support.

If you’ve previously worked on a Trade Counter selling to Tradespeople, then great. If not, but you’ve worked as a Retail Assistant / Salesperson, Pub or Bar Manager, Travel Agent, Recruitment Consultant, Sales Rep, Insurance Agent, Car Sales Executive, Business Development Executive or within a similar sales based role and you’re looking to build a sales career within a new industry, then this job could be the one for you!

SALARY: starting at £22,256 pro rata / £10.70 per Hour + Generous Benefits

LOCATION: Chessington, Kingston upon Thames, Greater London

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trade Counter Sales Assistantwho has excellent customer facing and upselling experience.

As a Trade Counter Sales Assistant you will work as part of a team to support customers with a wide range of building and construction products covering:

• Building Materials
• Timber and Joinery
• Landscaping and Fencing
• Kitchens and Bathrooms
• Flooring and Tiling
• Plumbing and Heating
• Tools, Equipment and Workwear
• Painting and Decorating
• Electrical, Lighting and Ventilation
• Security and Ironmongery
• Fixings and Adhesives

Your customer base will be tradespeople such as construction workers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, tilers, painters and decorators, construction project managers etc.

DUTIES

Once fully trained your duties as a Trade Counter Sales Assistant include:

• Working as part of a team providing excellent customer service wherever there is interaction with customers

• Customer communication management is utilised to drive Branch sales

• Ensure a working and effective quote bank is maintained

• All sales opportunities and large-scale projects explored to maximise sales and margin

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent customer service / customer facing skills with the ability to build rapport and have a bit of friendly banter with the customers

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Polite, professional and helpful

• Great team player

• Previous Trade Counter experience selling to Tradespeople, would be highly desirable. If not, but you’ve worked as a Retail Assistant / Salesperson, Pub or Bar Manager, Travel Agent, Recruitment Consultant, Sales Rep, Insurance Agent, Car Sales Executive, Business Development Executive or within a similar sales based role, we would like to hear from you.
